Now that the world cup is over, weallspeakfootball.com is over, too. So it’s time to take a look back.

Before I stepped into the Coke flat for the first time I was a bit dubious. I didn’t know if I’d like the people, if I could stand sharing a flat with people I hardly know and how everything would work. Of course I had also heard about some bloggers taking the piss out of the project I was about to join.

From the moment when I first entered the flat, I somehow felt at home. I don’t know why, because normally I love being the lonesome wolf, living alone, rarely going out… But in the past 4 weeks, I totally changed. I met a whole bunch of people from all over the world. Some of them I’ve known before as a blogger. Most of them I’ve never heard of. But they had all one thing in common besides their love for the game: They were friendly, open minded and a lot of fun to hang around with.

In the past 4 weeks, I got used to sharing not even a flat, but also my thoughts. I got used to heading home from work and visiting the current bloggers at least every second day.

Like Markus already mentioned – I had expected to meet some real nerds. We all were kind of geeks, of course. But besides our blogs, vlogs and podcasts, we knew how to get to know new people and to have a got time in real life.

Well. Now everything is over. I am one of the few ones who will stay in Berlin. The flat is already empty, the furniture’s gone, I will never ever sit on that fabulous rooftop again. Damn, I’m gonna miss that so much. I’m gonna miss all you Coke bloggers that much – no matter what other people say.

The slogan of this years World Cup was “A Time To Make Friends” – and that’s exactly what we did.

I will never forget this World Cup, it’ll always be something special to me.

Thanks to all those wonderful people I got to know in the last 4 weeks and thanks for letting me be a part of the whole project. Let’s stay in touch and hopefully there will be a Coke flat in Vienna in 2008. Or maybe someone starts a similar project before.

The World Cup is over. What are we gonna do now with all our freetime? No more Football until August when the Bundesliga will start again. Damn, that’ll be hard!

First of all, congrats to Italy!!
To me, a World Cup is always a big event. But having the World Cup in my own country, having all those people from all over the world together, and of course, seeing my first World Cup match live in the stadium, made it even more exciting to me.

I’d love to know what really happend between Marco Materazzi and Zinedine “Zizou” Zidane to make Zidane finally bump his head into Materazzi’s chest. Of course, Zizou got a red card for that and had to leave the field. It’s a pity – because it was the last match of his carreer in the national team. He didn’t even go and get his medal for being the vize world cup champion.

So bye-bye Zizou. I always liked you – although you didn’t treat Hamburg too good back in the Champions League match versus Juventus Turin.

It’s the last evening at the Coca Cola-Flat – so I’d better get a go and join the party… Talk to you later!

Der Markus vom Bundesliga-Blog hat komische Schlafgewohnheiten. Da sitzt er mir, kaum in Berlin angekommen, in der Pizzeria (Ja. Der WG-interne Italien-Boykott ist schon wieder vergessen) gegenüber und sagt:

So ein Mist. Mein WLAN geht nicht im Schlafzimmer. Dann kann ich nie mit meinem Laptop ins Bett. Und das, wo meine Freundin nicht ohne mich ins Bett will…

Aber daraus abzuleiten, daß er lieber mit dem Laptop als mit seiner Freundin ins Bett geht, das wäre ja bösartig. Daher lassen wir das mal…

Live-Blogging aus der Coca Cola-WG. Gerade eben, der Abpfiff der Verlängerung. Italien gewinnt 2:0.
Berlin scheint gerade gestorben, die Stimmung hier auch. Und das, wo ich doch aus Pietätsgründen sogar auf mein Italien-Shirt verzichtet hatte. Hätte ich es an, würde man mich nun wohl lynchen…

Die Straßen sind tot, Kater-Stimmung überall. Dreieinhalb Italiener trauen sich, zu hupen – kein Vergleich zu der Party der letzten Woche.

Erste Konsequenzen werden gezogen – Lyssa beschloß gerade, nie wieder italienisch zu essen. Hm. Dann müßte ich wohl verhungern….

Am Samstag nun also das Spiel um Platz 3. Dann werde ich sogar ausnahmsweise (vielleicht) auch für die Deutschen sein. Mal sehen.

Gestern, wieder mal geselliges Beisammensein in der Coca-Cola-WG. Ich sage nicht, wer es war – aber Deutschen passieren beim Englisch sprechen manchmal einfach großartige Unfälle…

Das Wochenende vom 24.-26. November verbringe ich auf jeden Fall in Hamburg.
Die drei letzten Gegner der Rückrunde scheinen super für “den Fall der Fälle”. Denn daheim gegen Alemannia Aachen werden wir kaum Platz 2 verspielen. Und schon gar nicht Platz 1. Neineinein. Niemals. Notfalls kraxel ich eigenhändig aufs Spielfeld und… Hm. Schieße das Siegtor. Oder so. :o)

Ich habe gerade schon wieder meine Kopfhörer in die Kaffeetasse geworfen… Seufz. Wie gut, daß die Dinger so robust sind. Vielleicht fällt Euch ja mal ne Maßnahme ein. Mini-Schwimmflügel? Soll ich einige Froot Loops um das Kabel fädeln und hoffen, daß die lang genug schwimmen, bis ich ganz Baywatch-like den Kopfhörer vorm Ertrinken rette?

Übrigens auch sehr lustig: Daß die Menschen, die sich im Internet gegen Coca Cola und die Weallspeakfootball-WG aussprechen und reihenweise Posts über die Schandtaten von Coca Cola und Co schreiben, nur versuchen, mein Blog als Werbeplattform für sich zu nutzen. Netter Versuch. Ihr glaubt doch nicht etwa im Ernst, daß ich solche Kommentare freigebe…?
